Company Background
MerlinOne, Inc. is a dedicated and innovative supplier of digital asset management for the publishing, multimedia and non-profit community. Our products manage some of the largest collections of digital assets in the world - in the most demanding production environments.
Our goal has been to improve our customer's lives and careers by taking the pain out of complex business processes. We do this by using smart technology to shift a lot of the workload from humans onto computers.
MerlinOne was founded in 1988 to make the Phoenix image transmission system. We evolved with the analog-to-digital transition in the news industry and saw the need to manage and store the increasing amount of digital content that was being sent. After intensive research and development, we installed our first Merlin digital image archive in 1994. We now have well over 15 years of experience implementing real-world solutions in world-class production environments with over 60,000 users worldwide (see our customer list).
In 2001, we started E-Sheets®, a hosted electronic tearsheet service that has become the industry's largest electronic tearsheets database with over 154,000,000 records on-line. The hosted site has become the platform for more new products including AdReady and the Merlin Hosted Digital Asset Management system.
Our development team has deep domain expertise and our installation and support staff have a proven track record second-to-none. We listen to our customers and constantly improve our products to meet their evolving needs. When our customers wanted the ability to manage other forms of multimedia, we developed Merlin Video, a version of our flagship product that actually lets users manage audio/video content by searching soundtracks for spoken words!
