Landov Media to add Video Content with the Merlin Digital Asset Management System

Quincy, MA, April 13, 2007 - Landov has selected MerlinOne, Inc. to supply web services to display, search, download and archive video content represented by the digital media agency. This new video content will be offered with the over 2.3 million photos Landov currently markets via a Merlin hosted digital asset management system. Landov plans to launch its new video service this summer.

"With the new video asset management tools created by MerlinOne, Landov customers will be able to search for video and photos at the same time, using the same familiar interface. Like photos, each video will have metadata associated with it describing subject, content source and technical data. Video search results are shown as still thumbnails, and with a click, users can quickly view streaming watermarked video previews before choosing to download," said John Harrison, VP of Sales & Marketing at MerlinOne. Landov has been distributing its photo service on a Merlin digital asset management system since 2002, recently marking the 5th anniversary of the partnership between the two companies. Landov content is from contributing media organizations including Bloomberg News, CBS Photo Archive, Reuters, Newhouse News Service, McClatchy-Tribune Information Services, AP Photos, UPI, Itar-Tass, Kyodo, the CW network, Xinhua and DPA.
