Recent Picture Desk, Assignment Management, Outtake Management Sales

Quincy, MA, March 19, 2005 - MerlinOne, Inc. is pleased to announce recent sales of the Merlin digital image archive system, Trax assignment management system and Scrounger digital photo outtake management solutions. Sales are up for both new systems along with upgrades and add-ons for existing customers.

New customers
On the new sales front, The Poynter Institute, a school dedicated to teaching and inspiring journalists and media leaders, selected Merlin for a digital asset management system.

  • The Palm Beach Post installed Merlin Picture Desk, Trax and Scrounger which were integrated with their DTI production system.
  • The Rapid City Journal had a new Merlin digital image archive management system installed for their photo archive.
  • The Advocate in Baton Rouge has selected Merlin for their library system, picture desk and assignment management system. The Advocate will also use Scrounger to manage their digital camera outtakes.
  • Shamrock Newspapers in Pennsylvania selected Merlin Picture Desk to work with their new Unisys production system
  • The South Bend Tribune chose Merlin Picture Desk as a photo archive to replace their PhotoView legacy system.
Some of MerlinOne's non-newspaper add-ons were Pfizer and the Harvard Business School. Pfizer Drugs uses the Merlin digital asset management system to store assets for their sales team who work collaboratively from around the globe. MerlinOne, Inc. hosts the Merlin digital asset management system for the Harvard Business School.
