MerlinOne E-Sheets Now Integrated with MEI Ad Layout System (ALS)

Quincy, MA, June 16, 2003 - MerlinOne Inc., a Boston-based provider of digital asset management solutions, and Managing Editor Inc. (MEI), a Philadelphia-based provider of software solutions for the publishing industry, today announced the integration of MEI’s Page Director® Ad Layout System (ALS) and MerlinOne’s E-Sheets® electronic tearsheets delivery service.

The ALS-to-E-Sheets XML integration allows newspaper advertising departments to electronically communicate tearsheet information from the ALS planning system to their advertising customers, via E-Sheets.

E-Sheets, which has recently grown to manage well over one million ad and page records, was developed in conjunction with The Boston Globe, has been selected as the corporate electronic tearsheets standard by a consortium of Knight-Ridder and Tribune Publishing representing 44 U.S. newspapers, and was also chosen by newspapers owned by The McClatchy Company, Houston Chronicle and San Francisco Chronicle of The Hearst Corporation and other independent dailies and weeklies.
