David founded MerlinOne in 1988, and has been CEO ever since. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and after graduation was an Associated Press photographer for 15 years, covering events including Space Shuttle launches and landings, Pope trips, Presidential campaigns and trips, Super Bowls, Olympics and conflicts in Central America, and was runner-up in the Pulitzer competition for Spot News Photography.
David has been a pilot for 31 years, holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, and currently flies a multi-engine turboprop with his wife Jann, who is also a licensed pilot. He enjoys kayaking, visiting small airports, and is allowed to live in the home shared by Jann and Isabel, a recently adopted 2-year-old Shelty.
He is privileged to work with a terrific team of individuals, all focused on applying advanced technologies to help humans work smarter and with less grunt work.
